I know! And I’ve finished most of my running around for the month, which means I get to stay home and work on my place. For once, the weather is going my way. Now if that humidity would just drop…am I pushing my luck?
It’s 79F in Metcalfe County KY. The other day it was 93F and Humidity at 74%. Well I like it cooler so AND but I truly believe with the overall temps DROPPING and Honga Tonga H2O is falling down. This will bring snow hip deep to a Giraffe…I would be okay with that for a while…a SHORT while. Be cool Deb.
Yes I can not wait until that July cold wave! We sure need one here in the Southeast after a pretty hot mid June thru mid July. It was sort of cool here the first half of June, but after mid June summer started here. I know it’s the heart of summer, so that’s pretty typical. Still very quiet throughout the tropics, including the East Pacific Basin. Right now it’s the slowest start there since 1967 and if this trend continues with no significant storms, it might extend all the way back to 1953.
Heavy tariffs would cut availability of things and cause higher inflation. Shut down the system. Need a new fridge? Get on a waiting list. Need car parts or medical supplies? 17 sunspots now Wednesday evening. Earth, Pluto and Mercury on this side of the Sun. All other planets are in one corner except Venus off to the left of the Sun. Uneven distribution.
Spikes on the sunspot count and electron charts are the alignments. zoom out on the charts all the spikes are from alignments. https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/solar-cycle-progression
I like that sunspot chart. I added it to my homescreen. I’m getting quite a collection of sun-related sites. Much better than listening to the so cult leader every morning. Now I can have a look-see for myself. Thanks, Dirk.
Not me. It’s only 82F and the humidity went down to 35% earlier today. It’s started climbing back up now tho. It starts around 80% in the mornings, then goes down, then back up by evening. Crazy!
But it’s nice today and I’m not complaining. I’d love to sit outside but I’m too tired to fight with the chiggers. I spent the last two days on the road, so this one I do nothing. Read a book, eat, sleep, play games on my phone.
When I was younger, I never saw the need for a day of rest. Now I can’t do without it. But it looks like we’ll be blessed with decent weather for maybe a week.
Hurricane Katrina and friends were from a big solar storm Sept ’05 three years after solar max same polarities now on the Sun a complete 22 year cycly.
Deb-
I don’t really know the answer to that. I hope you don’t think less of me because I can’t always provide an answer to your questions. After all, I’m only human (maybe…)
That’s what you get for not answering my questions. If you don’t know the answer, tell me so, don’t just blow me off. You should know I’ll have something to say about it, lol! 😘
I don’t go back too many days to look for more replies and answer all the questions things move ahead there’s lots going on with newer posts. I didn’t see you asked a question then I see a fake post with my fake name I’m like oh no I been hijacked.

Quick pointer here, (busily catching up after not being here for a week or so)
But U.K. 40°C end of the world high at RAF Conningsby was in 2022.
Last year U.K.summer was pretty much as this year with the exception of a nice Easter weekend but a late spring & beautiful June.
However, july & august were overcast & cool with U.K.highest temp at 34°C for the S.East and a N.West high of 28°C. (Don’t have average temps at hand)
So this is the second below par summer in a row.
(Netweather jetstream & forecasts do not offer anything to look forward to neither)
Well Deb it looks like sweaters in the morning and pleasant afternoons for the next nine days. Topical mid summer temps I’m sure.

Thanks Wayegon. We’re getting lower temps here this week, even into the 70’s, and the humidity drops pretty low during the day. It’s heavenly!

14 sunspots now, an M5 direct hit solar flare inbound. Solar activity increased, polarities primed for more solar flares.

Do you think this increase in solar flares is due to the planetary alignment you said was coming up this weekend?

Washington State snowpack negative precent of normal. The glaciers on the volcanos were at 50% last time I checked, whole state now no percents on there anymore. Statewide Emergency fire hazard. Over 100f in E WA.
EU glaciers don’t do us any good. F the EU. Won’t save em from WW3 it’s moot. Random spoofy Euro trash trivia. BFD.

Etna/Stromboli volcanos very active this month from flares, fresh plume now in Africa and the last plume headed West going into the mix in the Caribbean and up into US in the rain mix.

It looks like the heat from the volcano is feeding into a cyclone off the East Coast of the US. Am I interpreting that right?
Record hot here Summer ’07, I was cooked completely burnt out from heat working in the heat. My rich Uncle was giving me crap at our family picnic I was hiding in the shade trying to reboot what a jackass. ’07 was solar minimum in La Nina.
